Healthy Tiffin Ideas for Preschoolers (That They'll Actually Eat)
Quick answer
Small hands, small appetites. Easy, home-style tiffin ideas that are quick to pack, simple to eat and kind to little tummies.
Table of contents (2 sections)
A preschool snack should be easy to eat without help, not too messy and filling enough to keep energy up until lunch. Here is a week of ideas many of our parents love.
A simple weekly plan
| Day | Tiffin idea |
|---|---|
| Monday | Mini vegetable paratha rolls + a few grapes |
| Tuesday | Idli bites with a little chutney |
| Wednesday | Poha with peas and peanuts (crushed for younger children) |
| Thursday | Besan chilla strips + cucumber sticks |
| Friday | Fruit day — banana, apple slices or chikoo |
Packing tips
- Cut food into bite-sized pieces your child can pick up.
- Use a tiffin your child can open alone — practise at home.
- Pack a small portion; you can always add more.
- Skip chocolates, chips and packaged juices.
If your child has any food allergy, please tell the class teacher in writing so everyone in class is aware.
