About Kilkari Preschool, Kothrud
A second home for little learners.
At Kilkari, we believe the early years are the most important years. Our preschool gives children a safe, loving and stimulating space to explore, create, ask questions and build the confidence they need for big school — all through play.
Kilkari Preschool was started in Kothrud, Pune in 2016 by early-childhood educators and parents. Its approach is play-based and child-centred, with small classes, gentle routines, themes explored through stories, art and music, and regular updates for parents.
Our story
Why we are called Kilkari
Kilkari means a child's joyful giggle — and that sound is how we measure a good day. The school was started in Kothrud in 2016 by a group of early-childhood educators and parents who wanted a preschool that felt like a second home: calm, colourful and full of curiosity.
Our classrooms are small, our routines are gentle and our days are built around play. Children move between free play, circle time, stories, art, music and outdoor time, while teachers observe closely and nudge each child towards the next small step.
We keep parents close too — with regular updates, open conversations and plenty of chances to be part of school life.
